In this day and age, there has never been more pressure on women to look “perfect”.
And with people constantly sharing photos of themselves online, it’s easy for trolls to body shame.
Body shaming is something Stephanie Redmond has experienced in the past and so she recently decided to take matters into her own hands.
The mum-of-two has hit back at trolls by posting photo of her size 16 figure in a bikini to Facebook.
She wanted to make a stand against “judgemental and shallow” people who had commented on her image – but she was shocked when the photos went viral
The Plymouth administrator's message touched so many women that people even began to get in touch with Stephanie and thank her for posting the image.
Even local shop owner Janine Boylin of Frock The High Street saw the pictures and invited Stephanie to come along for a photoshoot.
Stephanie added: ”I was really surprised and really embarrassed to be asked, but also really excited.
"I had my youngest two-and-a-half years ago I haven't been out since I had him and I've not lost my baby weight – I've not really tried to lose it to be honest.
"So when they offered me the opportunity to come down and do a bit of modelling in my sized clothing I thought yeah, let's do this. This will be fun.”
Janine added: "I really love the way she was saying 'frock you' to anybody that was going to challenge her on that. I loved that.
"It's very important for every woman to be comfortable in their own skin and to dress right now in what they want to wear rather than to buy the dress and then diet to be in the dress they want to be in.
"It's really not the right way around and I think the pressures are so great on women today and they really need to support each other."
