Real Madrid could complete £140m selling spree with six players close to exit

Real Madrid transfer news

Real Madrid transfer news: Alvaro Morata could lead the mass exodus
The Spanish giants, so often renowned for being the side splashing the cash, are set to complete a number of big departures this summer.

Marca say there are six players who could leave the Bernabeu - Fabio Coentraro, Pepe, James Rodriguez, Alvaro Morata, Diego Llorente and Mariano Diaz.

Morata is being lined up by Manchester United but the two clubs are still working to agree a fee.

United had planned to spend no more than £60m while Real are thought to want closer to £80m.

A big sum is also expected to be banked from the sale of James Rodriguez, who appeared to wave goodbye to Bernabeu fans against Sevilla before being left out the Champions League side.

Marca say Llorente is in line to join Real Sociedad for £7m while Mariano Diaz will depart for £4.4m - although a buy-back clause will be inserted in the deal.

Fabio Coentraro is set to join Sporting on loan while Pepe - despite being desperate to stay - is out of contract at the end of the season. He is set for Paris St-Germain.

With £140m set to be banked, it will become a record summer for Real Madrid sales.

The vast sums banked are likely to fund bids for Monaco star Kylian Mbappe - the most coveted teenager in world football - and Atletico Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez.
