- Make sure your smart phone having the Android version above 2.2 Froyo. To know the installed version, go to Settings » About phone, and look at Android version. If your Android version is above 2.2, then follow the further steps.
- Double check you have installed the device drivers to your computer.
- Now, connect your Smartphone with your laptop via USB cable. Do not need to tap on "Turn on USB storage". Just tap on the home screen button.
- Check out the data connection in your Smartphone that is working properly.
- In the phone, go to Settings » More » Tethering & portable hotspot, and make a check on "USB tethering".
- Now, in your computer, go to "network and sharing center" you will see a new connection that is made by your android mobile.
